The Tucson Community Meditation Center (TCMC), a non-profit, non-sectarian organization, has been teaching and supporting the practice of mindfulness meditation in Tucson for over twenty years. TCMC is unaffiliated with any religion.
TCMC provides instruction in mindfulness meditation, a place to practice, library resources, opportunities to learn from visiting meditation teachers, and opportunities to participate in extended meditation retreats.
with Community Dharma Leaders Lhasha Tizer and Terry Magee ============================= Curious about Mindfulness? Would you like a daily meditation practice?
Mindfulness reveals our inner potential for greater ease, peace, calm, mental clarity, and joy in living. Many people of all ages and backgrounds are finding the practice of mindfulness to be valuable in dealing with the stress and strain of modern-day life. This class offers instruction and weekly support in on-going practice with a group of people who are interested in learning about meditation.
How is mindfulness meditation learned?
It is best learned in a progressive manner, through a sequence of instructions, each session building on the last. Each class will include a period of meditation, a talk focused on why we practice and what it is possible to discover, as well as time for questions and discussion.
By the end of five weeks you will have complete instructions for bringing mindfulness into every aspect of your life. In addition this class will prepare you for attending a meditation retreat.
