Parking near the Center

Because TCMC is in a residential neighborhood, please park as far from TCMC as it is possible for you to walk.  Please do not park in front of the homes in the same block as the Center. Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation

 

This 3 hour workshop is the best way to get started in mindfulness meditation.  The workshop covers:

  • Correct sitting posture, (chair, sitting cushion or bench)
  • Meditation hall protocol
  • 4 or 5 guided meditations 
  • Discussion

The cost for the workshop is $20; however, nobody will be turned away for inability to pay.

Mindfulness meditation Class/Practice

 

These classes are a great follow-up for the Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation workshop.  However, the Workshop is not a prerequisite.  Each session consists of a guided meditation followed by brief discussion.

There is no charge, but donations are gratefully accepted. 

Led by Blake Ashley
Monday evenings from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  You may enter the meditation hall after class has begun.

25 Minute silent sits are offered on various Saturday and Sunday mornings:

These sits are held in silence. Please enter only when the door is opened by the sit leader.

There is no charge for the weekend practice, but donations are gratefully accepted.  

Making a Difference: Mindfulness Tools for Creating Change

5:30 – 6:30 PM Wednesdays

This sitting circle builds practical mindfulness skills to be applied right in the midst of ordinary life! Learn meditative practices to address your everyday challenges, to accomplish your goals and to fulfill your ideals - for your own life and for the world. Valuable for both beginning and experienced meditators. All are welcome.

Guided meditation followed by brief optional discussion on applying practices to life situations. Facilitated by UA professor and experienced meditation teacher, who has practiced under the guidance of senior teachers for 30 years. Contact Bonnie: or 520-730-5889.

Loving Kindness Practice

6:30-7:30 PM  or sometimes 8:00 PM
First Wednesday of the Month:       Mindfulness of music

Second Wednesday of the Month:   Loving kindness.

Third Wed. of the Month:
Mindfulness to be with and understand the nature of difficult emotions. Loving kindness will naturally arise from this practice and understanding.

Fourth Wed. of the Month: Buddy group Practices. Buddy Members will lead the sit.
   
Attendees can request topics for guided meditations on the second and third Wed.
From time to time, music will be play at the end for deepening your practice.

6:30 - 7:15  - Silent Meditation

7:15 - 7:30 - Break

7:30 - 8:30 - Dharma talk and opportunity for questions

Friday Morning Sits

7:30 A.M. - Sit Lead by Upasaka Culadasa

8:30 A.M. - Sit Lead by Upasaka Culadasa

9:30 A.M. - Sit Lead by Upasaka Culadasa 

Each sit is 45 minutes long followed by a 15 minute walking meditation or an opportunity to ask the teacher meditation questions.
