Present:  Frank Tomizuka, Lhasha Tizer, Blake Ashley, Della Estrada, Debra Raeber, Steve Villaescusa, Terry Magee, Willoughby Britton

The board met for a brief discussion before the annual meeting.  There were some concerns that the board wanted to address before the annual meeting.  The minutes to the annual meeting reflect those concerns and will serve as an explanation of the board’s intention in regards to the new meditation center, located at 1231 East Edison St. 

Terry mentioned that she, Lhasha and Anna Douglas will be teaching a class called Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation in the fall.  It will be on Tuesday evenings from 6:30  -  8:30, and will be a 5 week class from October 10 – November 10.  She asked the board if it would be possible to hold the class at the new center.  They were wondering how much rent TCMC would charge them. 

Steve suggested that TCMC wait and see how things go with the class before deciding on a rental amount.  The class will promote TCMC and we may not need to charge very much to cover our expenses.  Frank made a motion that we discuss the rental amount at the next board meeting, all approved.

The minutes of the last board meeting were approved.
