Managing Anxiety - Weekend Retreat with Kaishin

Managing Anxiety - Weekend Retreat with Kaishin

Managing Anxiety - a weekend retreat
with Kaishin (Blake) Ashley

Description

Anxiety comes in many flavors. For some folks it is a general sense of foreboding about life and the unknown. Others experience agitation or irritation at non-optimal circumstance in their own lives or the world at large. Still others are continually lashed by the tyranny of their "to-do" list or self-judging. There may not even seem to be a reason for the anxiety. Then you can be anxious about being anxious for no reason!

Let's spend a weekend together, exploring some guided meditation techniques designed to help manage anxiety so that it causes less suffering and presents less of an obstacle to happiness and fulfillment in life. Most of our practice will be in stillness, but we will have some mindful movement practice and Q&A sessions as well.

Additional Info

We enter the building through the back door, remove shoes and meet in the larger meditaton hall in the front of the building. We have plenty of chairs and cushions so you do not need to bring anything.

Please refrain from wearing scented products (natural or unnatural) as some people are allergic.

We will break for lunch, so bring something to eat or plan for a quick outing. A fridge and microwave are available.
