Sitting Together
***On Pause. Stay Tuned***
It's wonderful to meditate together!
In that spirit, we meet monthly for a full morning of shared practice.
The results of meditation are cumulative and transformative, over time. As we continue with regular practice, the momentum builds. When the conditions are right for each of us, breakthroughs into happy states, greater awareness, and insight, are practically guaranteed. That's why longer or sustained periods of meditation are incredibly helpful.
I welcome you to this community-practice opportunity. I offer the Buddha's invitation: " Ehi passiko!" ~ "Come and see for yourself."
Usually during practice time we observe silence, but I'm happy to provide light guidance as needed about sitting and walking meditation. After the last meditation, we'll have time to talk and I'm happy to address questions and make suggestions about practice issues.
"Watch your thoughts, they become your words;
watch your words, they become your actions;
watch your actions, they become your habits;
watch your habits, they become your character;
watch your character, it becomes your destiny."
- Lao Tsu
All of humanity's difficulties are caused by our inability
to sit quietly in a room alone. ~ Blaise Pascal

Back By Popular Demand!
The Monday evening Meditating in Community Class will be offering a 30 day meditation challenge. Should you decide to participate you will commit to meditating at least 20 minutes per day for 30 days starting on January 6th and ending on February 6th.
It is highly recommended that you attend the Monday evening class from 6:00-7:15 pm Jan. 12th - Feb. 12th. We will be providing support for your practice, and optionally the teacher will ask you about your practice over the past week to help provide accountability.
You may optionally sign up to be paired with an accountability partner with whom you can check in with regulary.
This will be a great way to take your meditation practice to a new level in 2026, and develop a regular habit of meditation. Several people established a regular meditation practice after participating last year.
